Abstract
Hoffman present the conclusion to the preliminary report on the archaeology in the Hierakonpolis area. He discusses chronological issues, environmental issues such as climate change and environmental degradation, economic issues such as local and regional exchange and a discussion on Hierakonpolis being a pottery production center, population size, social stratification, and ideology.
