AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
This article presents a brief description of the main archaeological sites - both Pre-Dorset and Dorset - in the Pond Inlet region in northern Baffinland. Only data in this study relevant to the Pre-Dorset phase of the Eastern Arctic Small Tool tradition have been indexed for Outline of Cultural Materials (OCM) codes. These codes pertain primarily to site locations, tools, weapons, and soapstone objects. The major portion of this work relates to various early, middle, and late Dorset sites located in the region.
