Abstract
This study, based on field work in 1990-1991, surveys several Paleo-Eskimo sites located in Skjoldungen district, southeast Greenland. The term 'Paleo-Eskimo' used by Jensen in referring to the various sites investigated includes data not only on Saqqaq and Independence I cultures (sites listed as 6301-III-7 and 6301-III-46), but also on the Dorset culture (6301-III-32 and 6301-III-56). Thule sites are mentioned in the text but not specifically indicated by location. Data on the Dorset sites have not been indexed for Outline of Cultural Materials (OCM) codes since this cultural tradition is generally considered outside the temporal range of the Eastern Arctic Small Tool complex of which Saqqaq and Independence I are part.
