Abstract
Swan's Landing is a 5 ha., deeply buried, stratified site along the banks of the Ohio River. It extends inland to a floodplain ridge. The site has been extensively looted and damaged by river erosion and frequent slumping. Thousands of projectile points have been collected from the site. Excavations at the site consisted of 24 solid earth cores and 19 1x1 meter units. Some floral and faunal remains were found. The 'site appears to have functioned, at least in part, as a locale for the replacement of personal tool kits…' (page 213). The site contains numerous tools rejected during manufacture and discarded, worn tools.
