AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
Davis-Kimball and Yablonsky describe their field work and findings among the kurgan cemeteries found between the modern towns of Pokrovka, Troitsk, and Ivanovka. The burials date from the late Bronze Age to the Middle Ages, but only the material relavant to the Early Nomad period (the Sauromatian period dating to the 6th-5th centuries B.C. and the Early Sarmatian period dating to the 4th-2nd centuries B.C.) has been indexed for Outline of Cultural Materials (OCM) categories. The authors describe the burials and the artifacts found with each. All of the burials and some of the aritifacts have had line drawings made of them.
