Tribal interaction between the Early Iron Age Nomads of the southern Ural steppes, Semirechiye, and Xinjiang

By: Davis-Kimball, Jeannine.

Abstract
By describing some of the artifacts found throughout the Eurasian steppes, Davis-Kimball examines similarities in artifacts, artwork styles, metalurgy, and burial practices. These similarities probably occurred due to a common economic system and because of a strong trading network. Most of the cross cultural interaction may have originated in the Semirechiye, a central area with productive grasslands.
