Abstract
Phillips briefly describes some of the material culture, early migrations, and origins of some of the early nomads. Also discussed is evidence of early riding. Phillips provides a map of the Eurasian steppe from the Caucasus Mountains to China with the locations of some of the major cultures during the time of the Scythians.
