Abstract
Dyachenko et alii excavated several kurgans near the Aksai River in Russia. Two kurgans were constructed in the Early Iron Age (Kurgans 2 and 3) and three burials from this cemetery are dated to the Sauromatian Culture, but only one internment (burial 3 of Kurgan 3) had been undisturbed. This internment contained an imported Greek amphora, the first of its kind found in a Sauromatian burial. Only the material pertaining to the Sauromatian Culture was indexed for Outline of Cultural Materials (OCM) codes.
