Abstract
Mednikova examined trepanned skulls from several sites in the Minusinsk Basin. She categorizes the trepanations into to five types and compares the Minusinsk Basin trepanations with trepanation in other areas of Central Asia. These post-mortem trepanations may indicate common religious rituals or beliefs among Early Nomads in Central Asia.
