The Eastern Central Asia Neolithic and Bronze Age tradition existed in western China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Tibet, and Uzbekistan between 6000 and 1500 BP.  The people of this tradition were either sedentary agriculturists growing wheat and millet, supplemented by fishing and hunting, living in river valleys and oases, or nomadic herders wandering Central Asia with their cattle, horses, sheep, and goats. Bronze working appeared early although developed slowly. Little is known about their sociopolitical organization.
